Have you heard about the development of Umekita's Phase II District? In 2024, a large-scale town area, set to be "a hub combining greenery and innovation," will open in Umeda's north district, popularly known as Umekita.
The size of this new area is approximately 9 hectares! Even as a variety of commercial buildings, hotels, and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions)-related facilities are built here, about half of the new area will be dedicated to a city park.
You'll be able to enjoy the area in ways you never could before, from picnicking in the middle of the big city, to enjoying a spa day amongst the greenery, and so on.
In 2023, a new train station will be opened in the newly development district, and it will include direct, express access to Kansai International Airport.
