Bring out your own style with Japanese accessories! Which suits you the most?

2023.02.17

The Japanese word "oshare," directly translated, means "fashionable."
"Oshare" refers not only to pretty clothes and hairstyles, but an expression of individuality and attention to detail.
In Japan, there are cute, natural, beautiful, and sporty styles, each of which can show individuality and personal charm.

One of the best places to go shopping in Kansai is the Umeda area.
Umeda isn't only convenient in terms of transportation, but it's also an important station between the cities of Kobe and Kyoto, so it attracts the best selection of goods from all over the region.
Stores featuring all kinds of styles are gathered together here, so it's not a stretch to say there's nothing you won't find here.
Near Umeda Station on the Hankyu Line alone, you can find a group of six shopping malls with different styles to satisfy people's desire for the "oshare." With prices ranging from reasonable to luxurious, it's a true shopping paradise.

Accessories are one of those "oshare" items you can put on as an accent.
Because they tend to be small items, too, they're easy to take home with you for a memory of your trip to Japan.
Whether you are looking for a favorite style, experimenting with a new look, discovering a niche brand, or searching for high-quality Japanese handmade accessories, Umeda with its cluster of shopping malls has it all.

We've carefully selected a few distinctive stores in the area. Make sure to note the stores that interest you most, and take a peek when you're in Umeda!

BIZOUX (GRAND FRONT OSAKA SHOPS & RESTAURANTS)

The concept behind BIZOUX is to help more people find their own unique gems.
A Japanese jewelry shop, BIZOUX was founded in 2001.
It's first president, Tetsushi Sekiguchi questioned why 90% of the Japanese jewelry market was dominated by diamonds, and decided to try to break through the popular conception in Japan that jewelry = diamonds.
To do this, he introduced jewelry made with gems of comparable quality to diamonds that came in a variety of colors, that might speak more to individuals and their diverse, modern lifestyles, regardless of gender, age, or what the common practice might be.
A wide variety of gemstones are offered at BIZOUX, so that everyone can find one that truly shows their individuality.

BIZOUX pays careful attention to the quality of gemstones and is committed to collecting high-quality, beautifully colored natural stones from around the world.
They work with the most advanced processing machinery and experienced craftsmen to create one beautiful gemstone accessory after another in their workshop in Kofu, Yamanashi, which has over 400 years of gemstone processing history.

If you want to find the jewel of your dreams, you definitely can't miss BIZOUX at GRAND FRONT OSAKA in Umeda.

charmetity by kaede x horai1206 (HANKYU SANBAN GAI)

Located in HANKYU SANBAN GAI, a shopping mall packed with stores offering fashion items, household goods, and restaurants, charmetity by kaede x horai1206 is a special accessory shop.
The store is the brainchild of two designers with a great love for creating accessories.
"kaede" creates tassel-style accessories made with fabric and leather. The other designer, who goes by "horai1206," specializes in incorporating real flowers into her accessories.
Although the materials the two use in their creations are quite different, they blend together beautifully and match any outfit. Their Japanese-style designs are also very popular.

Another unique element of charmetity by kaede x horai1206 is that visitors can select the details they'd prefer for their accessories.
For example, you can change regular earrings to a clip-on style for non-pierced ears, change out a part of the earring for a different color, and create the kind of "oshare" look that suits you the best!
What's more, the two designers themselves sometimes hold accessory-making workshops and sell kits, so you, too, can learn how to make cute and simple accessories for yourself.
