Chiikawa is a manga with original characters created by the illustrator Nagano. If you’re visiting Japan and hoping to pick up some Chiikawa items, your best bets are Chiikawa Land stores (permanent and pop-up), KIDDY LAND, and the Magical Chiikawa Store. In this article, we’ll focus on two standout stores in Osaka’s Umeda area that every Chiikawa fan should visit.

Chiikawa Land (Umeda, Osaka Location)

Located in HANKYU SANBAN GAI shopping mall, Chiikawa Land Osaka Umeda relocated in March 2025 from the North Building to the more accessible B1 floor of the South Building. The shop space also expanded to around 1,170 square feet, which has significantly reduced wait times during busy periods. Now, more fans can enjoy shopping comfortably at the same time.

The store carries between 1,500 and 2,000 Chiikawa-themed products, all organized by category for new or recommended items. You’ll find everything from plushies to stationery to limited edition items, and new items are released each month, so you can find something new every time you visit. Plus, at the entrance to the store, you’ll find a display featuring Chiikawa characters dressed as takoyaki (a popular Osaka food) that’s become a popular spot for fans to snap a photo.

In addition to the store’s cute interior and fully stocked shelves, you’ll find a bunch of Chiikawa items you’ll want to pick up, like soft mini plushies and adorably illustrated cookie tins (these contain 10 cookies). You’ll definitely want to check out the Osaka limited items, like these popular die-cut key chains with takoyaki-themed illustrations.

There are also Umeda-only and Shinsaibashi PARCO(a department store in the Shinsaibashi area)-only Chiikawa items that you won’t want to miss, either, like hand towels designed to look like frozen takoyaki packs or acrylic keychains made to look like Chiikawa takoyaki snacks. Duty-free shopping is available here, too, so it’s a great stop for international visitors. On days when larger crowds are expected, like the launch of a new product, you may need a numbered ticket to enter the store or advance reservation, so check the official X (formerly Twitter) account for the latest.

Magical Chiikawa Store (Umeda HEP FIVE Location)

The Magical Chiikawa Store in Umeda’s HEP FIVE shopping mall is a concept shop based on the Magical Chiikawa series, in which the Chiikawa characters turn into “magical girls,” like in classic anime. The store’s dreamy pink interior is packed with merchandise featuring the characters in magical outfits, creating a whimsical atmosphere unlike any other Chiikawa shop. There’s also a designated photo spot that’s perfect for catching a snap!

The store carries over 250 different products, including plush charms, pass cases, pouches, stationery, tableware, charging cables, and other everyday items, all neatly organized by type and use. It also offers duty-free shopping, which is very handy if you’re looking to buy a lot of things.

In this store, you won’t want to miss the “Puchi Mini Mascots” (Tiny Mini Mascots), which are adorably small and have cute little expressions. They’re guaranteed to make you feel better, whether they’re clipped to your bag or put on display at home. Another item that’s just the right size to enjoy as an accent for your bag is the “Transform! Acrylic Charm,” with its eye-catching sparkles, and a set of three different expressions to enjoy.

Also popular is the 320mmx297mm “Hachiware got captured! Wall Sticker.” Stick it on your wall or door and instantly transform your space into a Chiikawa delight!

Some high-demand items may be limited to one per person, and, like Chiikawa Land, tickets or timed entry may be required during busy periods or new product launches.
